Sancho’s meteoric rise
19-year-old winger Sancho has been one of the talking points of European football this season.
The English youngster, who made the move to Borussia Dortmund from Man City in the summer of 2017 for £8 million, has built on the potential that he showcased at the Westfalenstadion last season with a string of sensational displays to this point in the current campaign.
The pace, trickery, eye for goal and creative flair possessed by Sancho have seen him rise from exciting but raw prospect this time last year to one of world football’s most in-demand players this summer.
All told, this season, the blistering wide-man has racked up 12 goals and 15 assists across all competitions.
In addition, he was named the Bundesliga Player of the Month back in October, and has already been handed 4 senior caps by England, despite having only turned 19 in March.

Dortmund, for their part, have continued to insist that Sancho will be going absolutely nowhere this summer, with chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke having revealed last month:

The ‘Ornacle’ highlighted particular interest on the part of Manchester United, with it having surprisingly been claimed that Sancho would actually favour a move to Old Trafford over any other Premier League destination this summer.
Crucially, however, it is also claimed that Sancho has reservations about joining the Red Devils.
