Newcastle vs Man United
When the team sheets were announced on Sunday at St James’ Park, there were eyebrows raised over the Man United XI.
Newcastle, of course, are battling for their Premier League survival.
Man United are second in the table, 16 points behind Man City at the start of play.
The team sheets for Sunday’s match at St James’ Park were as follows:
Newcastle: Dubravka, Dummett, Lascelles, Lejeune, Yedlin, Shelvey, Kenedy, Diame, Perez, Ritchie, Gayle.
Subs: Darlow, Manquillo, Hayden, Merino, Atsu, Murphy, Joselu
Man United: De Gea, Valencia, Young, Jones, Smalling, Matic, Pogba, Lingard, Sanchez, Martial, Lukaku.
Subs: Romero, Lindelöf, Rojo, Shaw, Carrick, McTominay, Mata.
Ander Herrera & Marcus Rashford both injured
Neither Ander Herrera nor Marcus Rashford were in the Man United squad against Newcastle.
And Jose Mourinho confirmed that both midfielders missed the Magpies match through injury.
The Special One was non-committal on a timeframe for Herrera and Rashford’s comeback.
Mourinho has told Sky that Herrera and Rashford have both got muscle injuries. Says he doesn't know how long they will be out.

On Rashford, there had been rumours in the build up to the game that he’d miss out.
Rashford, who has appeared in every Premier League for United this season, was a second half sub last weekend against Huddersfield.
But that cameo appearance could prove to be pricey as the England international picked up a knock.
It was also noticeable that Luke Shaw was left on the bench.
Shaw dropped out the team after playing against Huddersfield last weekend.
At the same time, reports in the past few days have suggested that Shaw could be in line for a new deal at Old Trafford.
Ashley Young was picked at left-back against the Magpies.
