Man United flop may replace Liverpool bound Mohamed Salah at Roma

Man United, Liverpool & Roma

Liverpool fans are still waiting for official confirmation that Mohamed Salah has joined from Roma.

The Salah saga has been dragging for a few weeks, as Liverpool and Roma haggle over the transfer fee.

Liverpool have already made a £28 million bid, but Roma want at least £35 million for the Egyptian, and will not budge from that valuation.

However, as negotiations unfold, it appears that Roma are already planning for life after Salah.

Indeed, rumours are now swirling that the Giallorossi could be set to move for a Man United flop to replace the north African star.

What’s the story?

Belgium newspaper DH have reported this week that Roma are considering a swoop for Adnan Januzaj.

The past two seasons have season Januzaj regress significantly, during failed loans spells at Borussia Dortmund and then Sunderland.

Still only 22, Januzaj once again needs to prove that he’s able to cut it at the top level, while it’s crystal clear he’s not going to get that opportunity at Old Trafford even though he’s under contract at United until 2018.

Earlier in the week the winger was linked to Spanish club Real Sociedad, while DH claim Roma are in the mix too.

Few details of Roma’s interest are detailed by DH, save for the fact that the club’s Director of Football, Monchi, is said to “appreciate the game of the Red Devil”.

It’s believed that Man United are hoping to sell Januzaj for €10 million.
