Mourinho handed ban and fine
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was today handed a one game touchline ban and a £16,000 fine by the FA following his bad behaviour during Sunday’s 1-1 draw with West Ham.
The controversial Portuguese coach was sent to the stands after kicking a bottle in anger. He accepted the FA charge and will be in the stands again for tonight’s EFL Cup game against West Ham.
It’s not the first time Jose Mourinho has been charged by the FA and it almost definitely won’t be the last.
Manchester United fans furious
Arsene Wenger was famously sent to the stands for kicking a bottle but received an apology after the game. Manchester United fans on Twitter believes Jose Mourinho deserves nothing less.
The FA are not very popular amongst Manchester United fans right now. They sound a lot like Chelsea fans at this point last season. See some of the best tweets below.
@FA I'm glad Jose Mourinho could pay for your Christmas party.

I'm sure the FAs mission statement this year states "get mourinho at all opportunities whilst being lenient with all others" @FA
