Lemina drops exit hint
Mario Lemina joined Southampton in August of 2017 from Serie A giants Juventus, for a fee believed to be around £15.5m.
During his stint with the Saints, Lemina has so far played 52 games across all competitions, in which he has scored two and assisted two.
The 25-year-old missed much of last campaign due to injury, featuring in just 21 league outings.
However, in the games he has played in, Lemina has looked to be a solid midfielder.
As a result, Lemina has recently been reportedly attracting the interest of Arsenal and Manchester United.
Lemina has also spoken out about wanting to leave Southampton. He further mentions how he would like to stay in England:
“I’m not afraid, I made a choice and I take it to the end. I stand by my plan, I decided to tell the leaders that I wanted to leave, there is no turning back.
“The best thing for me would be to stay here (England), but I don’t close the door on any club, or any country.
“I aspire to play in the very biggest clubs, now we will see what is offered to me.
“I made a good impression in England, I received good feedback at a certain point, so I hope that clubs won’t have a short memory.” As quoted by France Football.
Man United & Lemina
The Manchester Evening News has since provided an update on Man United’s supposed interest in Lemina.
According to the MEN, United have been downplaying their alleged interest in the Southampton midfielder.
The report from the Manchester Evening News also mentions how senior sources at the club believe that they are being linked with Lemina in order to start an auction.
The MEN puts Lemina’s price-tag at somewhere around the £30m mark.
