As per a number of reliable sources throughout the Italian media, Juventus and Alex Sandro have reached a full agreement over a new contract.
Sandro’s Juve stint
27-year-old left-back Sandro made the move to Turin from Porto in 2015 for 26 million Euro.
And the Brazilian has since gone on to establish himself as one of world-football’s finest in his position.
All told, Sandro has racked up 131 appearances for the Bianconeri, proving a vital cog in the perennial-Serie A champions’ march to a trio of consecutive domestic doubles.
Chelsea & United interest
However, despite his crucial role on the left of the Old Lady’s stout back-4, Sandro has been heavily-linked with a potential departure from Juventus for some time now.
The likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and PSG have all been named as keen admirers of the South American stopper’s talents, with all 3 even rumoured to have tabled big-money bids for Sandro over the last 18 months.
Sandro staying put
In the end, though, Juve rejected any and all offers for the Atlético Paranaense youth product, with Sandro having since once again gone on to play a starring role in Turin to this point in the current campaign.
And, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Gianluca Di Marzio and more a short time ago, the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea will now have to look elsewhere if they intend to secure the signing of a new left-back in the near future, with Sandro having tonight reached an agreement with Juventus over a new contract:
Alex Sandro will extend his contract with Juventus until June 2023. Agreement reached. ✔️ #transfers
