The Mirror have recently published a report concerning Manchester United, and some potential transfer targets.
The Mirror would report late on Saturday evening that Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has Argentinian internationals Lautaro Martinez and Leandro Paredes in his sights.
Martinez impressing with Inter
Lautaro Martinez made the switch to Inter Milan in July of 2018.
The 22-year-old has gone on to feature 56 times across all competitions for the Serie A powerhouse.
Martinez is having a particularly impressive 2019/20 campaign, which has seen him net 13 and assist three in 21 appearances across all competitions for Inter, including five in six Champions League ties.
However, as per the aforementioned report from the Mirror, Martinez has become unsettled, and fancies a move.
The Mirror also claims that Spanish giants FC Barcelona are showing an interest in Martinez.
Paredes & PSG
As for Paredes, he joined Ligue 1 champions PSG in January of 2019.
PSG are believed to have paid around £36m for the Argentine’s services.
However, despite the fairly steep price-tag, Paredes has not featured too heavily for PSG, especially this term.
The 2019/20 campaign has seen Paredes make just nine Ligue 1 appearances, and just two Champions League appearances.
And, according to the Mirror, the defensive-minded midfielder is said to be frustrated.
Both Martinez and Parades would probably prove solid additions to United’s current squad.
The Red Devils have a fairly decent main eleven, but should someone like Marcus Rashford be sidelined for one reason or another, United would likely struggle.
And while Fred has improved in recent weeks, the center of midfield does appear to be an area which United need to strengthen in.
