Mikel Jon Obi to Manchester United?

The Sun are making some very outlandish claims regarding the future of Chelsea’s forgotten midfielder Mikel John Obi.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho reportedly wants a reunion with the 29-year-old Nigerian defensive midfielder who is yet to feature for Antonio Conte in any competition.

With his contract due to expire in the summer of 2017, The Sun believe Jose Mourinho is looking at bringing in Mikel John Obi on the cheap in January.

Mikel’s Manchester United adventure

Chelsea’s long-serving Nigerian midfielder was a Manchester United player all the way back in 2006.

Manchester United signed him for £4m but, just days later, Mikel told Sky Sports that he was forced to sign at Old Trafford and actually wanted to be at Chelsea.

Chelsea paid the Red Devils £12m and his former club in Norway, Lyn, £4m.
