It could have been much worse
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been speaking today about his horror car accident and how it could have been much worse.
The Argentina was involved in a car crash at the beginning of the month which has kept the player out with injury.
Aguero broke one of his ribs in the accident and sustained other minor bumps and scratches but it was overwhelmingly positive that he was not hurt further.
In fact, the player himself had even speculated what could have been if he wasn’t wearing his seatbelt that evening.
“When I got to the hospital I asked the doctor if I could play for City on Saturday [against Stoke]. He said, ‘I don’t believe so’,” Aguero explained.
“I took a moment to think and realised it’s thanks to wearing a seat belt that I’m able to talk about this at all.”
The player has since returned to Manchester and is currently resting as he looks to return to action soon enough.
There was one huge blow for the player though as the incident ruled him out of playing Argentina’s clutch game against Ecuador.
The side needed to win the game to secure World Cup qualification for 2018 but fortunately, the side were able to advance without Aguero.
Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick to seal the passage of the nation but Sergio’s main thoughts now will be to get back on the pitch with City as soon as possible.

Despite what Aguero has said regarding the Stoke game, reports this week are suggesting something sensational.
There is news that the player could actually be involved in the game after all even with initial lay-off thoughts.
