Man City’s Raheem Sterling to cover funeral costs of Damary Dawkins

Sterling’s brilliant gesture

While certain areas of the media have targeted Raheem Sterling in the past, the Man City and England star has once again proven what a top person he is.

Sterling is one of the key voices in the fight against racism in football.

He also bought 550 tickets for pupils at his former school to come and watch Man City play.

Now, Raheem Sterling is set to cover the funeral costs of former Crystal Palace youth product Damary Dawkins who passed away in March of this year with Leukaemia.

“Damary was a special young man who touched a lot of lives. Positive until the very end, he was an example to us all.”

Sterling has already paid tribute to the youngster once when on international duty with England.
