Man City star hailed as ‘best in the world’ after dazzling Watford display

 

Viewers of Manchester City’s meeting with Watford this evening have highlighted the display of one Citizens star in particular as worthy of the tag of ‘best in the world’.

Pep Guardiola’s men returned to action a short time ago.

After seeing Chelsea slip up in a shock 3-2 defeat at West Ham earlier in the day, City made the trip to Vicarage Road, in the knowledge that a victory would guide them back to the summit of the Premier League table.

And, when all was said and done, cement themselves as the team to beat this season is precisely what the Sky Blues managed.

A predictably dominant performance, during which the scoreline could easily have taken on a much more convincing look, eventually played out into a comfortable 3-1 City victory.

The star of the show at Vicarage Road? Bernardo Silva.

Portuguese international Silva, who was of course hotly tipped for a Manchester departure during the summer, has rediscovered his sumptuous best of late, with a stunning brace on Saturday having only seen the former Monaco man stake his claim for, behind perhaps Mo Salah, the most in-form player in the Premier League at present:

And, if the ensuing reaction across social media is anything to go by, then evidently, Silva’s latest dazzling performance did not go unnoticed on the part of those watching on from home.

In fact, as showcased below, many have gone as far as to suggest that the Portuguese is not only the best in his position in world football at present, but, all told, the finest player on the planet:
