Premier League leaders Manchester City have this afternoon taken to Instagram to highlight just how impressive midfielder Fernandinho has been for the club this season.
Pep Guardiola’s Citizens have been in scintillating form for the first 4 months of the campaign, having incredibly managed to pick up wins in all but one of their matches across all competitions, a 1-1 draw with Everton on the second day of the Premier League season.
The likes of Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva, Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero have taken the majority of the plaudits for City’s remarkable feats, due to their contributions to the 57 goals scored by Guardiola’s men to this point in the campaign.

The Brazilian dynamo has performed brilliantly in front of his side’s back 4, breaking up the attacks of opposing sides and keeping the ball moving with pace and decisiveness when in possession.
The 32-year-old’s discipline essentially provides the base upon which City’s multitude of attacking stars are enabled to overwhelm their opponents with constant, suffocating attacks.
Many top pundits this season have spoken of the fact that Fernandinho doesn’t receive the credit that he truly deserves at the Etihad, a point which the Citizens have moved to correct this evening.
Taking to Instagram, the media team at the club posted an image, showcasing how much of their side’s play actually flows through the South American:
