Jose Mourinho ‘knows’ how to stop Manchester City

What a week for United

It’s been one hell of a week for Manchester United.

After being a goal down away at Juventus, United managed to dig another late win out of the bag and turn it all around.

Three points changed the look of their Champions League group drastically.

It also showed glimmers of the old Jose Mourinho.

One who knew how to set up for big games and who changed things tactically to great effect.

Not only that, but Mourinho managed to royally annoy the Juventus fans at full time.

Now, attention turns to another one of his long time foes, Pep Guardiola.

United take on Manchester City this weekend in the Premier League, and it’s a huge game.

Mourinho can stop City

One man who is backing Manchester United to win the game is Nemanja Matic.

The midfielder has worked under Mourinho for a long time.

First at Chelsea and now at Manchester United.

Matic thinks Mourinho has what it takes to stop City.

“I expect a very difficult game,” Matic told manutd.com.

“They are a very good side, they play good football. They score a lot of goals in every game, but we also have our qualities which we have to use.

“We have to stop them in their attacks, there is a way to do it and the manager knows that.

“We will prepare for the game. I expect a hard game but, in a derby, everything is possible, and we will be ready for that.”
