Man City & Man United scouts spotted at a La Liga match

Man City v Man United

After round eight of the Premier League season, Man City have a two point lead over Man United.

City maintained their top spot position with an incredible 7-2 win over Stoke.

Gabriel Jesus scored a brace in the match, while Kevin De Bruyne was sublime throughout.

Sergio Aguero was named on the subs bench, but the Argentine was left to watch the match on the sidelines.

Scouts at Espanyol v Levante

On Friday night in Spain, Espanyol were held to a 0-0 draw in La Liga by Levante.

Perhaps the biggest point of note from the game in Catalonia was that a scout apiece from Man United and Man City were spotted at the game.

Man City are in the market for a left-back after Benjamin Mendy was ruled out for several months with an ACL injury.

Fabian Delph is currently filling in, but most expect Man City to buy a replacement in the January window.

According to Spanish daily Sport, the Sky Blues were at the Espanyol game to watch 20-year-old Aaron Martin in action.

Man United were also at the match looking at the Spanish left-back.

Sport report that Espanyol are willing to sell Martin, but they want either City or United to stump up 30 million euros.

The news outlet further claim that Man City actually tabled a 20 million offer for Martin back in the summer.

Martin only made his professional debut in October last year but has already established himself as one of Spain’s young promising stars of the future.
