Man City’s nervy afternoon
Manchester City needed a win at Brighton on the final day of the season to ensure that they would be crowned Premier League champions for the 2018/19 season.
If they had drawn or lost to Brighton, City needed Liverpool to also lose or draw versus Wolves.
It was a nervy afternoon for the Citizens, as Liverpool would take the lead versus Wolves inside 17 minutes via Sadio Mane.
Man City would then go 1-0 down vs Brighton in the 27th minute.
Man City crowned champions
However, City would hit back just 83 seconds after Glen Murray’s opener through Sergio Aguero.
A sign of Champions?
City are behind for just 83 seconds before Aguero pulls them level. Nail biting stuff!

Pep Guardiola’s side then took the lead in the 38th minute, when Aymeric Laporte nodded home Riyad Mahrez’s corner.
Mahrez would then get in on the goals himself in the 63rd minute, making it 3-1 and all but guaranteeing City a second successive Premier League title.
GOAL! Title race over?!

Ilkay Gundogan then made it 4-1 shortly after.
Liverpool also put Wolves to the sword, but it would prove too little, too late.
