Man City linked with Youri Tielemans signing as David Silva weighs up Qatar transfer offer

Is David Silva leaving Man City?

The Sun on Sunday have set off alarm bells for Man City fans, by suggesting that David Silva may leave the Sky Blues this summer.

David Silva is often mentioned in conversations regarding the best foreign players who have played in the Premier League.

Man City signed Silva from Valencia for a little under £30 million back in 2010.

Since moving to the Premier League, Silva has won the title four times with Man City. The Spaniard has also won two FA Cups and four League Cups.

Last season, Silva scored six goals and chipped in with eight assists in 33 league matches for City.

In the Champions League, Silva also scored three goals and contributed three assists.

However, the Sun now reveal that Silva has an offer to leave Manchester to move to Qatar.

David Silva’s offer from Qatar

Silva, 33, is under contract at Man City until 2020.

On Sunday, the Sun tell their readers:

David Silva could have played his last game for Manchester City – after being tempted by a £12million tax-free retirement jackpot.

The Etihad legend, 33, is mulling over a two-year offer from a club in Qatar.

Man City & Youri Tielemans

The Sun suggest that if Silva does leave the Etihad Stadium, the Sky Blues could move to sign Youri Tielemans.

Tielemans spent the last six months on loan at Leicester from Monaco.

During his time in the Premier League, Tielemans scored three goals and chipped in with five assists.

Crucially, Leicester failed to secure an option to buy Tielemans.

The 21-year-old Belgian international is under contract at Monaco until 2022, and, as things stand, Tielemans will return to the Ligue 1 side this summer.

However, the Sun report the following:

SunSport understands City are chasing £40m-rated Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans, 22, as they plan for life without their Spanish maestro.

Forward-looking City have already made contact with Tielemans’ people.

Tottenham & Man United

On Tielemans, it’s previously been claimed that Tottenham and Man United are interested in the Belgian international.
