Man City expect David Silva to stay while they may challenge Tottenham for Tanguy Ndombele

The BBC have delved into several transfer stories regarding Premier League champions Man City on Tuesday.

One issue which has been swirling about concerns David Silva’s ongoing future at the club.

The 33-year-old is under contract at the Etihad Stadium until 2020.

Last season Silva played 33 times in the Premier League. He scored six goals and chipped in with eight assists.

The Spaniard also scored three goals in the Champions League and once in the FA Cup.

BBC reporter Simon Stone has claimed that Man City are planning for Silva to be at the club next season:

Manchester City do not expect midfielder David Silva to leave the club this summer – but are prepared for the exits of Fabian Delph and Danilo.

Should Silva stay with the Sky Blues, he’ll be able to leave as a free agent next summer.

Atletico Madrid’s 28-year-old Rodrigo, fellow Spaniard Marcos Llorente, 24, and Lyon’s 22-year-old Frenchman Tanguy Ndombele – who has also attracted interest from Tottenham – are under consideration.

Ndombele is a 22-year-old midfielder that has established himself as one of the up and coming stars of the modern European landscape.

A box-to-box midfielder, Ndombele has impressed in the Champions League and Ligue 1.

France Football journalist Nabil Djellit has previously suggested that Ndombele could cost Spurs 70 million euros.
