Battle of the century
Manchester City, Chelsea and Everton are all set to go head to head for one of Barcelona’s top targets from the previous transfer window.
The three clubs are set to battle for Nice star Jean Seri who nearly joined Barcelona in the last window.
It actually looked as though the Ivorian was going to join the club but the deal fell through at the last minute.
Now, the player is set to leave the club in the next transfer window and is available for around £25million according to reports today.
The player impressed immensely for the French side last season and that prompted interest from the Catalan giants Barcelona.
Man City, Chelsea and Everton are all clubs that were interested but are now looking to make their move in the January window.
Though, only one club can sign him and it’s going to take some convincing from each club in their own way to seal a deal.
Everton could be the outsiders due to their poor season though signing for the Toffees would give Seri regular first-team football.
Signing for Manchester City could be great in the short-term with a Premier League title soon to be heading for the Etihad.
Though, in the long-term, would Seri be able to keep hold of a starting spot?
Same could go at Chelsea, with Cesc Fabregas, N’Golo Kante and Tiémoué Bakayoko with the last two players quite similar in style.
Whoever signs him though could be on for a bargain.
