Otamendi to miss out on Argentina’s upcoming games
Nicolas Otamendi was expected to feature for Argentine in the upcoming international break.
While the European sides will be facing off in qualifying matches for Euro 2020, Argentina instead have two friendlies.
Argentina will host Venezuela on Friday, March 22nd before travelling to Morocco on Tuesday the 26th.
It has now, on Monday been revealed that Manchester City’s Nicolas Otamendi will no longer be taking part in said games.
Argentina have confirmed that Otamendi suffered a sprain to his left ankle in Man City’s FA Cup tie vs Swansea.

City came from 2-0 down to edge past Swansea in somewhat controversial fashion.
The Citizens will now face Brighton in the FA Cup semi-final.
Man City vs Fulham
Manchester City’s next game will be away to Fulham on March 30th after the international break.
It is not yet known if Otamendi will have recovered in time to face the relegation battling side.
Man City also slipped off top spot this weekend as Liverpool beat Fulham 2-1 while City played in the FA Cup.
Pep Guardiola’s side will go back top of the league if they win their game in hand on Liverpool but they will also face some tough tests in Tottenham and Man United in their final eight games.
