Man City ‘agree’ to sign West Brom’s Morgan Rogers – Sun

Man City & West Brom’s Morgan Rogers

According to the Sun, Man City have reached an agreement to sign 16-year-old Morgan Rogers from West Brom.

The tabloid have reported:

Manchester City have agreed a stunning £8million deal for West Brom whizkid Morgan Rogers.

The move will be the biggest Premier League transfer for a 16-year-old since Theo Walcott went to Arsenal in 2006.

To be clear, at the time of writing, neither Man City nor West Brom have confirmed the transfer.

However, the Daily Mail have also been reporting on the potential deal in recent days.

The Mail said that the main sticking point to concluding the deal was the lack of agreement on the transfer fee.

Who is Morgan Rogers?

Morgan Rogers made his debut for West Brom back in February.

The teenager came on as a sub in the FA Cup against Brighton.

Rogers has also played for England at U15, U16 and U17 level.

West Brom losing their youngsters

A couple of days ago, ESPN reported that Barcelona have signed teenage English striker Louie Barry from the Baggies.

It was also confirmed that Barcelona will pay West Brom just £235,000 for 16-year-old Barry.

Last week, the Express & Star confirmed that Louie Barry had rejected a contract offer to stay with West Brom.

West Brom offered the forward a three-year deal.
