Malatyaspor wear Mesut Ozil shirts
Turkish side Malatyaspor have gained worldwide exposure on Saturday after they stepped out wearing Mesut Ozil shirts.
Malatyaspor were taking part in a pre-season friendly against Gazisehir Gaziantep.
As they walked out onto the pitch, Malatyaspor has t-shirts on with Mesut Ozil’s face on the front.
The shirts also had the following message: “We are all you, say no to racism.”

The shirts seem to be a direct response to the Arsenal star’s recent announcement of his German international retirement.
Ozil posted a lengthy statement on social media explaining why he was quitting the German team.
The Arsenal star courted controversy before the World Cup when he met with Turkish president Reccip Erdogan.

Unai Emery’s side begin their campaign with a match against Man City.
The Gunners beat Serie A side Lazio on Saturday with a comfortable 2-0 victory.
Young midfielder Reiss Nelson added to his reputation scoring Arsenal’s opener at the far post.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sealed the win with a deflected shot in the second half.
