Madagascar vs Tunisia live streaming: Match preview

The Madagascar fairytale continues.

They made history even qualifying for this tournament, doing so for the very first time.

Then, they topped their group by drawing with Guinea and beating Burundi and Nigeria.

That set up a round of 16 tie with DR Congo on Sunday.

They led through Ibrahim Amada after just nine minutes but DR Congo equalised soon after.

Nicolas Dupuis’ side then thought they’d won it when Faneva Imà Andriatsima put them ahead late on but DR Congo equalised in the very last minute of stoppage time.

Heartbreak.

The match finished 2-2 and went to penalties.

Amada, Romain Métanire and Thomas Fontaine all scored so, when Jérôme Mombris converted his spot-kick, it sent the minnows through.

It really is a remarkable story for them as they are the first debutant at AFCON to be unbeaten in their first four games since Libya in 1982.

They’ll fancy their chances of reaching the semi-finals too.

That’s because Tunisia have not exactly been on top form so far.

Alain Giresse’s side drew all three group matches and faced Ghana in Monday’s round of 16 tie.

With just 17 minutes to go, Taha Yassine Khenissi put them in front with a really clever finish.

But, in the 94th minute, Rami Bedoui’s looping header beat his own goalkeeper; 1-1.

That’s how it finished and the match went to penalties.

Naïm Sliti and Wahbi Khazri both scored before substitute goalkeeper Farouk Ben Mustapha made, what would turn out to be, the crucial save.

Dylan Bronn, Yassine Meriah and Ferjani Sassi then all scored from the spot to send them through.

The Eagles of Carthage are yet to impress in Egypt but are still in with a chance of their second AFCON title.

Will Madagascar’s amazing tournament continue or will Tunisia prove to be too strong?
