According to French outlet RMC Sport, Lyon have offered €30 million for Colombia and Barcelona’s Yerry Mina.
Mina is also said to be a target of a host of Premier League sides including Everton, Wolves and Leicester City.
However, Lyon may have beaten all of them to Mina’s signature.
Unwanted at Barca
Mina began his career in Columbia with Deportivo Pasto before moving to fellow Columbian side Independiente Santa Fe in 2014 for an unknown fee.
Mina played a total of 84 games for Independiente Santa Fe, in which he scored eight and assisted one.
The Columbian would then move to Brazilian side Palmeiras in May of 2016 for a fee in the region of £2.88 million.
Mina played 33 games for Palmeiras in which time he scored eight and assisted two.
This impressive season caught the eye of Spanish giants FC Barcelona who would sign Mina in January of 2018 for a fee of around £10.62 million.
Mina has played just six games for Barcelona, earning one assist in that time. However, despite only signing for Barca in January, Mina looks set for a move away from Spain this summer with Wolves, Everton, Leicester or Lyon his likeliest destinations.
The main reason so many clubs are targeting Mina though is due to his great World Cup.
Mina played three of Columbia’s four World Cup games and scored in each of them. He was also very solid at the back for Columbia.
However, Columbia would be knocked out in the round of 16 by England, despite a late Columbia goal from Mina to send the game to extra time.
But regardless of Columbia’s finish, Mina certainly showcased what a top talent he is and as a result, many teams around Europe are now interested in him.
