Romelu Lukaku criticised on MOTD for his behaviour vs West Brom

West Brom 1 – Man United 2

Man United claimed three Premier League points on Sunday with a 2-1 win at West Brom.

Romelu Lukaku scored his second goal in as many games to fire United ahead.

Jesse Lingard continued his excellent scoring form to double the Red Devils’ advantage.

Gareth Barry scored what proved a consolation for the Baggies.

Romelu Lukaku criticised on MOTD

Against West Brom a brilliant cross from Marcus Rashford from the left hand side was guided home by Lukaku in the box.

After he scored, Lukaku reacted with a non-celebration goal celebration against the Baggies.

Most jumped to the conclusion that Lukaku was looking to be respectful against his former employers.

But did that explanation hold water? Many argued ‘no’ as Lukaku has previously celebrated scoring against Everton this season.

That opened the door for Phil Neville to criticise Lukaku on Match of the Day.

Neville voiced his belief that Lukaku should have performed a knee slide or kissed the United badge after he found the target.

The talking-head also wondered if something is bothering Lukaku, which could explain his non celebration goal celebrations.

Man United return to action in midweek with a trip to Championship side Bristol City in the League Cup in the quarterfinals.

Next weekend Man United face an away trip to Leicester City in the Premier League.
