Luis Suarez’s Xana tribute, who is Ansu Fati & Valencia admit they’re ‘suffering’ before Chelsea

Barcelona 5 – Valencia 2

No Leo Messi, no problem for Barcelona.

In a significant result in La Liga on Saturday, Barcelona trounced Valencia 5-2 at the Camp Nou.

Albert Celades is now in charge of Valencia after the shock sacking of Marcelino last week.

Luis Suarez’s Xana tribute

On the hour mark against Valencia, Luis Suarez, who has been nursing a calf injury, was brought on.

Suarez proceeded to score twice for the Catalans.

After scoring his second goal, Suarez paid tribute to former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique.

Tragically, Enrique’s daughter Xana recently passed away following a battle against bone cancer.

Suarez displayed an ‘X’, for Xana, after bagging his second.

Who is Ansu Fati?

There’s a new wunderkind at the Camp Nou: 16-year-old Ansu Fati.

Fati had the home fans on their feet after 120 seconds against Valencia, when the teenager broke the deadlock.

That was Fati’s second goal of the season, after he became the youngest ever goalscorer in the league two weeks ago against Osasuna.

Fati broke another record against Valencia when he set up Frenkie de Jong to score his first goal for his new club.

He’s now become the youngster player to score and assist in the same game in La Liga.

Will Spain snap up Ansu Fati?

Ansu Fati was born in Guinea-Bissau.

However, as confirmed by the Guardian’s Sid Lowe, Spain are trying to register the forward for their national team.

Valencia admit they’re ‘suffering’ before Chelsea

Returning to Valencia, next up is a trip to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea in the Champions League.

That match is scheduled for Tuesday.

After losing to Barcelona, Valencia posted the following message on social media, as the club admitted: “We suffer”.

Interestingly, Valencia’s 5-2 defeat yesterday was the club’s worst defeat since a 7-0 loss vs the Catalans during Gary Neville’s tenure at the club.

Chelsea win 5-2 at Wolves

Of course, Chelsea will come into their Champions League game against Valencia on a high.

That follows Saturday’s 5-2 away win at Wolves.

Tammy Abraham scored a hat-trick in the match, while many have noted that all of Chelsea’s scorers this season in the Premier League have been English.
