Memphis Depay has been dropped from Manchester United’s FA Cup Final squad, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The Manchester paper claim to be privy to Louis van Gaal’s squad for the showpiece final against Crystal Palace tomorrow, and say that Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has also failed to make the cut.

Amazingly, along with Daley Blind, Memphis had been the only player to have featured in all 58 of Manchester United’s match squads this season, but he’s now set to miss out on the biggest of them all.

Granted, Memphis has started many of those 58 games on the bench, and his debut season at Old Trafford has not exactly gone according to plan, but to feature in every single squad at least speaks to his excellent conditioning, as he’s remained injury-free all season.

With Memphis left out of the squad, Van Gaal will most probably start with Anthony Martial on one wing, and Ashley Young may even get a look-in, having scored in the final league game against Bournemouth.
