Loris Karius v Hull
He’s finally done it.
Loris Karius has played his first Premier League match for Liverpool. And he won.
Karius was Liverpool’s first signing of the summer, when the keeper moved to Anfield from Bundesliga club Mainz.
The 22-year-old was signed for £4.7m, but he’s had to wait for his opportunity to shine in the first team after he suffered a broken hand in the first few weeks on Merseyside.
The Reds trounced Hull on Saturday in the Premier League, as Jurgen Klopp’s side scored five times against the Tigers.
Unfortunately for Karius, he conceded a goal in the second half to David Meyler which robbed him of a clean sheet.
Karius copies Manuel Neuer
It’s widely agreed that Bayern Munich goalie Manuel Neuer is the number one stopper in world football.
The German international is well known for standing a long way out of his goal when Bayern are on the attack. Often, Neuer plays a sweeper role for the Bavarians.
A couple of pictures are being shared around Liverpool fans suggesting that Karius follows suit.
The images show how Karius was almost at the halfway line at certain stages of the Hull game.
