Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk have responded to the news that Harry Kane was awarded a goal against Stoke and they’re not happy.
There was much made of Christian Eriksen’s goal against Stoke last weekend.
The Denmark star’s cross looked to evade everyone and nestle in the corner of the net, giving Spurs a 2-1 win over the Potters.
Though, Harry Kane eventually went on to claim that the goal was his and that he actually managed to get a touch on it.
While some would just forget it and move on with their careers, Kane was adamant that the goal was his and even protested it.
The English forward swore on his daughter’s life that he got a touch on the ball much to the bemusement of everyone.
That lead to a Premier League review and the result was announced on social media this afternoon.
Liverpool stars support Salah
That lead to a backlash from a number of football fans but it was Mohamed Salah’s tweet that really got the drama going.
The Egyptian star is currently the top Premier League scorer and Kane is his only rival for the award right now.
He took to social media and tweeted ‘Wooooooooow really?’ just 10 minutes after the news was announced.
That followed by several Liverpool stars replying to his tweet equally in shock.
Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold were the two members that chimed in very quickly.
Safe to say, they were not happy with the Premier League decision.
