Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has admitted that he would like to speak to Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson personally after the red card incident.
A couple of weeks ago the Senegalese winger was shown a straight red card after a high foot lead to a pretty nasty injury for the shot-stopper.
The Brazilian had to get several stitches put into his cheek which looked to be very nasty.
Mane did post an apology on Facebook following the incident but the player has admitted that he would ‘love’ to apologise properly to the player.
“No, but I posted something on Facebook,” Mane explained to ESPN.
“We don’t know each other, but I would love to have his number and send him a proper message. I think it is OK now, though.”
“Honestly, after this incident, I was not OK. I was thinking about the red card, obviously, but we are human beings and we have to be nice to each other.”
Liverpool eventually lost the game 5-0 with Mane’s red card being the catalyst for the biggest defeat in a while.
Mane sat out the game against Burnley at the weekend as the side drew 1-1 at Anfield in a dissapointing showing.
Their star player in Mane will also miss the trips to Leicester (who they were beaten by last night in the League cup) and Newcastle.
Mané: "It's not an easy time for me. I'd love to play all the time and help my teammates. It's bad, but I have to accept the suspension."

Liverpool fans fume
It was not a good evening at the office for Liverpool on Tuesday night as they visited Leicester for the Carabao Cup.
It was a game in which both sides were expected to make changes, with Liverpool resting a few of their top players but still fielded a strong side.
Though the Reds were beaten 2-0 and it was pretty comprehensive.
Safe to say, Liverpool fans were not happy in the slightest and you can see their reactions here.
