Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino has revealed why he was moved to tears ahead of the sides Champions League clash with Manchester City.
The Anfield side went up against the Cityzens in their European quarter-final and the home leg was anticipated by many on Liverpool.
Though, they certainly put on a show for the players ahead of the game with Man City.
The Reds fans are known for their displays on Anfield Road ahead of big games both in the Premier League and in Europe.
They certainly didn’t disappoint last night when they were seen welcoming their own team bus to the ground.
Flares were set off, fans were singing and the passion was showing ahead of kick-off.

Now, Liverpool’s star striker Roberto Firmino has admitted he was moved to tears by the display.
“When we were on the bus, I was reading about how the reception was going to be,” he told ESPN Brazil, cited by the Mirror.
“I must say, it filled my eyes full of tears!
“It was very moving for me. It only gives us more strength to fight on the field and win the games.”
Firmino was also asked about Liverpool’s stunning performance at Anfield but made sure it was known they haven’t completed the job yet.
“I think we played really well,” he said.
“We had a great game, we scored and kept the clean sheet, which is important. But as I said, we haven’t won the tie yet, we have to keep focused.”
