Man United vs Liverpool
Liverpool head into the weekend’s Premier League action looking to build on their perfect start to the season.
So far, Jurgen Klopp’s side have amassed the maximum points available to them from their opening eight PL outings.
That has given the Reds an eight-point lead at the top of the table, with Manchester City their closest rivals.
On paper, Jurgen Klopp’s side should really be making it nine wins out of nine this weekend.
Manchester United have had an awful start to the 2019/20 campaign, which has left them just two points above the drop zone.
Matip provides update on his availability
Ahead of his side’s trip to Old Trafford, Joel Matip had provided an update on his availability.
Matip has missed Liverpool’s last two games, vs Leicester and RB Salzburg, after picking up a knock vs Sheffield United.
But Matip has now confirmed that he is back in training, and when speaking about his availability vs United, assured that, if needed, he will be there:
“I’m back in training and hopefully I will stay fit.
“I’m back in training and I feel good. Of course, if I’m needed, I will be there.
“Injuries [happen] to a player. Now I’m back, I hope I stay fit and I can focus on the positives.” As quoted by Liverpool’s official website.
