Liverpool’s Sadio Mane has praised Manchester United ahead of their crunch match at the top of the Premier League table this weekend.
The Senegalese forward has been electric for the Reds this season and has been recognised for his part in the clubs attacking plaudits this season.
Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah have been praised to no end but they will come up against a stern test this weekend.
The side are currently third in the table but they could overtake their Manchester rivals with a win.
With the fight at the top of the table so fierce, Mane acknowledges it will be hard against ‘one of the best teams in the world’.
“It will not be easy but I’ve always said we can beat any team in the world,” said Mane.
“Honestly they (Manchester United) are one of the best teams in England, of course in the world also, but we are as well.
“It’s the dream for every single player to play this kind of game so everyone is looking forward to it.”
“It’s a very big game for us, for the club, for the fans,” said Karius.
“With the situation being this tight together on the table also, we can’t really ask for more.
“Of course they have a good squad and we have respect for them, but we don’t fear anyone. We’re really confident, looking at ourselves and our own abilities, we know we can beat them.
“We want to go directly into the Champions League again, there are not many places for it and second (place) would be ideal obviously.”
Manchester United fans are watching Manchester City, Liverpool & Tottenham play brilliant football whilst we are treated to this shit week in, week out. Jose Mourinho has been at the club 18 months, it’s not good enough. There’s too much attacking talent for this drivel.
