Liverpool’s Fabinho injury update before Leicester

Fabinho injury vs Crystal Palace

Liverpool beat Crystal Palace 4-3 in the Premier League last weekend.

Lliverpool are four points clear of Man City at the top of the league after 23 rounds of the season.

In the final minutes of the Palace match, Brazilian Fabinho left the game.

Fabinho suffered a hamstring injury against the Eagles. He was replaced by Adam Lallana in the 87th minute.

Liverpool vs Leicester

Liverpool now have a mini-break.

The Reds are next in action on January 30 against Leicester City at Anfield in the Premier League.

Will Fabinho be fit for the Leicester game?

After the Eagles match Jurgen Klopp casted doubt that Fabinho will be fit for the Foxes saying “Fabinho for sure a doubt”.

However the Mirror on Thursday have good news for the Reds:

Fabinho has eased Liverpool fears of a defensive crisis, by returning to light training.

Liverpool medics are now extremely hopeful Fabinho will be fit to play once the Reds return to England from their warm-weather training camp in Dubai.

Liverpool defensive problems

Fabinho is likely to start at right-back against the Foxes.

That’s because Trent Alexander-Arnold is currently on the sidelines with an injury, as is Joe Gomez.

Moreover, teenager Ki-Jana Hoever is also on the treatment table with a knock right now.

James Milner is also out of the Leicester match after he was sent off for two bookable offences against Crystal Palace.
