Origi breaks the deadlock

With extra time looming in the EFL Cup, Belgian striker Divock Origi stepped up with a late winner to give Liverpool the lead over Championship club Leeds United.

Just minutes later, 17-year-old Ben Woodburn doubled Liverpool’s advantage and became the club’s youngest ever goalscorer in the process.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s stunning assist

18-year-old Trent Alexander-Arnold has impressed in the EFL Cup already this season and he was the man to produce the magic in a game that so badly needed a goal.

He whipped in a delicious right-footed cross which Divock Origi just about managed to get his studs too. Admittedly, the Leeds goalkeeper really should’ve done better.
