‘Liverpool weren’t happy after Man City’ – Dejan Lovren

Man City 1 – Liverpool 2

Will Liverpool win the Champions League?

Jurgen Klopp’s men completed a fabulous 5-1 aggregate win over Man City in the quarterfinals on Tuesday night.

Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino scored the Liverpool goals in the second half after Gabriel Jesus fired Man City ahead after two minutes.

Dejan Lovren after Man City

After the match, Liverpool centre-half Dejan Lovren gave an interesting interview to Jan Aage Fjortoft.

Lovren was asked to reveal what happened in the Liverpool dressing room after the match. How did they celebrate?

According to the defender, many of his team mates struggled to enjoy the win:

I told them now, ‘we’ve been a little bit too quiet’. I said ‘we need to be a little bit happier’.

Maybe we still haven’t realised that we are in the semifinals. But maybe tomorrow we’ll be a little bit happier.

Lovren was also asked about which side he’d like Liverpool to face in the final four. The Croatian replied that he’d like to face either Bayern Munich or Roma in the next round.

Liverpool odds slashed

The morning after Liverpool knocked out Man City from the Champions League, the bookies have slashed the odds on the Reds winning the competition.

Previously 11/2, Liverpool’s odds have been sliced to 3/1 to win the Champions League.

Of course, Liverpool will find out who they have to play in the final four in Friday’s draw at UEFA HQ in Switzerland.
