Guido Rodriguez on Klopp’s radar

Liverpool’s search for a midfielder this summer has taken another twist and it looks as if the Reds could be targeting a brand new player.

The Real Betis and Argentinian midfielder Guido Rodriguez has emerged as a target for Jurgen Klopp.

Spanish outlet La Razon claim that the interest from the former Premier League and European Champions could force them to sell for much less than his 80 million euro release clause.

With Liverpool thinking of the South American, La Razon explain Real Betis ‘could be forced to sell’ Rodriguez this summer.

City in for Botman

Liverpool will face further competition for another one of their targets as Manchester City have registered interest in Lille defender Sven Botman.

The Dutch youth international is said to demand a figure of more than 40 million pounds from his club Lille.

Liverpool had been linked with a move for the player but the arrival of Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig has lessened the need to bring in the Dutchman.

City’s interest though could spark the reds to move considering the troubles they had with the position last season in addition to the threat of their title rivals grabbing one of their long-term admirations.

Tsimikas could leave

Brought in to provide back up for the left-back stalwart Andrew Robertson, Kostas Tsimikas is said to be frustrated at the lack of chances.

This has led to interest from Italian side Napoli in the player.

Both full back options for the Naples-based club, Mario Rui and Faouzi Ghoulam, are towards the latter stages of their careers and investing in a younger option appeals.

Liverpool are said to be partial to the idea of a permanent exit but a loan is out of the question.

Napoli’s interest in Chelsea’s Emerson could however scupper a chance of a deal, although no legitimate move is said to have been made thus far.
