Liverpool will face off against Manchester City tonight and one Anfield star has detailed how they hope to stop the Cityzens in their tracks.
Pep Guardiola’s side have been almost unstoppable this season and look set to win the Premier League trophy at the weekend.
Though, they still have the chance to win the Champions League and all attention will be on that tonight.
Liverpool, however, will be looking to stop them in their tracks like they did back in January, winning 4-3 in the Premier League.
Man with a plan
That’s certainly easier said than done by Anfield defender Andrew Robertson has revealed how they hope to beat Guardiola’s side.
“As a team, City’s movement is a joy to watch,” he explained.
“As a defender, you need to be aware of that. You need to be aware of where your man is at all times and where he is trying to get.
“If you can do that and focus on where they are going then hopefully we are first there to stop the ball coming.
Hopefully, we will be attacking as well and push them into areas they don’t want to go.
“The way they have been going forward this season, and the way we are going forward, I would doubt it will be 0-0! I am hoping it is 1-0 for us. That is ideal.
“Any way at all we can get through, we will take it. We will know more next week. I think it will be tight — hopefully, one we come out on top of.”
