Horror for Liverpool star
The Sunday Sun this weekend report the scary story of how Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren and his family were targeted by criminals as they slept.
It’s unclear when the event actually took place, although it seems to have happened during the summer break.
Lovren and his family were targeted when they were on vacation in Croatia.
The details of what happened, however, are a little bit fuzzy. The red-top reports:
Premier League ace Dejan Lovren fears he was gassed by burglars as he slept with his family.
The £100,000-a-week Liverpool defender was renting a holiday home when the gang struck, stealing jewellery and cash.
But it could have been a lot worse for the Liverpool defender.
Lovren has spoken about the event, and he’s opened up about how bad things could have turned out:
Yes, I was robbed. They have stolen everything from me. I heard absolutely nothing. It is as if they had put something in my apartment for me to fall asleep.
They could have kidnapped my kids, and I wouldn’t have noticed at all.
Moreover, the Sun paint the picture that this attack against Lovren was purposefully planned.
The Liverpool defender was painted as a target. That’s because his wife, Anita, was involved with a local gangster back in the day.
Leicester 2 – Liverpool 3
On the pitch, Liverpool picked up three big Premier League points on Saturday.
For the second time in a less than a week the Reds traveled to the King Power Stadium, and Liverpool won the match 3-2.
Mohamed Salah opened for the Reds before Philippe Coutinho scored a stunner.
Shinji Okazaki started the fightback for Leicester, however Jordan Henderson pulled the Reds 3-1 in front after the break.
But then things went nutty. Jamie Vardy scored a header to make it 2-3. Minutes later Vardy won a penalty after a foul from Simon Mignolet.
Mignolet, however, made amends saving Vardy’s spot-kick.
