Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has this evening provided a fitness update on his squad, ahead of the club’s meeting with Southampton.
Liverpool march on
The Reds are set to return to Premier League action tomorrow afternoon, in a meeting with Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Saints.
Liverpool will of course head into proceedings amid an absolutely scintillating spell of form.
The European champions have dropped just 2 points all season, in a stalemate with Manchester United back in October .
Since then, Jurgen Klopp’s men have racked up 15 straight league wins, a run which has allowed them to open up a frankly-ridiculous 19 point advantage over champions Manchester City in 2nd.
Liverpool’s latest victory came on Wednesday night, when goals from Mohamed Salah and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain guided the Merseysiders past West Ham at the London Stadium.
As such, as outlined above, speaking ahead of his side’s latest outing tomorrow afternoon, Jurgen Klopp today provided a fitness update on his squad.
In positive news, Adam Lallana and Divock Origi, who were both previously viewed as doubts to face Southampton, are now in contention to contribute:
‘Adam trained normally, Divock was cramp. He didn’t train yesterday because it was not a day for him to train. But I heard nothing else so he should be in training today.’
All of Sadio Mane, James Milner and Xherdan Shaqiri, on the other hand, have been ruled out.
