Liverpool are reportedly set to break the bank for Jan Oblak, with the club prepared to make him the most expensive goalkeeper of all time.
Don Balon think that the Reds are willing to make a £79 million bid to convince Atletico Madrid to let the player leave, with Oblak willing to consider the move.
After the Champions League final performance of Loris Karius, many people assumed it would be the end of him, and the time for Liverpool to bring in a world class keeper, and that seems to now be the case.
Liverpool have been linked with a host of goalkeepers this summer, but with Roma set to impose ‘Salah tax’ on Alisson, it seems Oblak may prove the easier acquisition this summer as Klopp looks to launch an all out assault on the Premier League next season.
Of course, there have also been lingering questions about the future of Jurgen Klopp since the departure of Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid, with the club thought to be keen on the Liverpool manager.
Reports in Spain also suggested that the players were keen on Klopp, with Sergio Ramos the player who has taken it upon himself to make it clear to the board and president the players want Klopp as their manager next season.
Klopp however doesn’t seem to have any intention of leaving Liverpool, with the manager already bringing in Fabinho this summer and looking to complete deals for other players as well before the transfer window closes.
