Liverpool & Man City: 25-man Premier League squads confirmed

Liverpool vs Man City

Can any other club, apart from Liverpool or Man City, win the Premier League this season?

Most are expecting a repeat of the 2018-19 campaign, with Liverpool and Man City set to duke it out for the league title.

Of course, Man City pipped Liverpool to top spot last season, even though the Reds only lost once all year.

25-man Premier League squads confirmed

Following the close of the European transfer window on Tuesday, every club in the Premier League has now confirmed their 25-man squads for the 2019-20 season.

Home-grown vs not home-grown

A key factor for all Premier League sides in naming their squads was to ensure that there was the correct balance between home-grown and non home-grown players.

On the Premier League’s website, the following clarification was provided:

Each squad contains no more than 17 players who do not fulfil the “Home Grown Player” (HGP) criteria.

The rest of the squad, up to a total of 25 players, must be “Home Grown”.

Each club squad list is below as well as an additional list of each club’s registered Under-21 players who are eligible over and above the squad limit of 25 players.
