Liverpool have named Barcelona their asking price for Philippe Coutinho, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Catalan Giants are hopeful of completing a deal for the Brazilian in January.
The two clubs are understood to be at the early stage of negotiating an instalment and bonus plan.
Liverpool are demanding £127m for the signing of Coutinho in January.
Reports in Spain claim that the two clubs are currently discussing a rough price for the midfielder.
Barcelona remain keen on on bringing in the 25-year-old next month despite the player being unavailable to play in Champions League.
Coutinho remains at the top of the Spanish league leader’s transfer target list, having heavily pursued him last summer.
Part of the way through last summer, the Brazilian handed in a transfer request in order to try and secure a move to Spain.
This transfer saga caused the player to miss Liverpool’s first five matches of the season.
The Reds, in the end, stood firm over their not for sale stance and their talisman was denied his dream move.
This, however, remains the case for Coutinho, who is intent on finally securing a transfer to the Nou Camp.
Bournemouth vs Liverpool match preview
Defeat at Old Trafford has left Bournemouth now without a win in their last six, consequently seeing them fall to within just two points of the bottom three.
Despite putting in a good shift at the Theatre of Dreams, Bournemouth were unable to contain Manchester United or beat David De Gea, with a Romelu Luakaku goal proving decisive.
Meanwhile, Liverpool were left rueing yet more missed opportunities, as consecutive draws at Anfield, against Everton and West Brom, has seen them drop outside the top four.
A heavily rotated side versus Meyerside rivals Everton were unable to capture the three points, whilst Klopp’s lethal front four were nullified by the Baggies on Wednesday evening.
