Liverpool fans single out Jordan Henderson for praise vs Bayern Munich

Liverpool vs Bayern Munich

Liverpool hosted Bayern Munich on Tuesday in the first leg of their round of 16 clash.

Liverpool will travel to Bayern for the second leg on the 13th of March.

Heading into the Bayern game Liverpool had lost just once in the Premier League this season.

However, Liverpool were without several big players for Tuesday’s game including Virgil van Dijk who was suspended.

As for Bayern, they are 2nd in the Bundesliga and now just three points behind Borussia Dortmund.

Bayern were also without several big players including Jerome Boateng.

Jordan Henderson impresses for Liverpool

The first half finished 0-0 with Liverpool having the better of the chances.

Liverpool’s best chance fell to Sadio Mane and the winger really should have done better.

Despite it remaining 0-0, one Liverpool player put on a stand out performance for much of the evening.

Jordan Henderson was arguably one of Liverpool’s best players vs Munich.

The Englishman played a superb ball to Mohamed Salah who was unable to convert.

Henderson also did a fantastic job defensively and his passing was top quality.

Twitter reaction

As a result, Henderson is being lavished with praise on social media.
