Liverpool fans rejoice as their hero scores vs Man City

Mo Salah is a cult hero for Liverpool fans and he’s just written himself into club legend by scoring against Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie – putting them a goal to the good.

Things got even better for Jurgen Klopp’s side when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain managed to get a second, and Manchester City resembled their first half performance in the Premier League when Liverpool beat them, and looked on the ropes.

However, an away goal or two would change the whole game and Liverpool knew they couldn’t let up – and had to make sure they defended well to boot – something they struggled with towards the end of their league win against Manchester City, and collapsing to win 4-3 would not be good for Liverpool.

Salah meanwhile was showing once again what a signing he’s been and many people took to Twitter to make it very clear they think he’s one of the best Liverpool players ever and what value for money he’s been.
