Liverpool fans pay for fly-by over Man United’s Perth training session/Simon Mignolet linked to Crystal Palace

Liverpool fly-by over Man United’s Perth training session

Manchester United are now in Perth, Australia, for pre-season.

On Thursday, Man United trained at the WACA.

As the session was going on, a plane flew around the stadium.

The plane displayed a banner which read: Liverpool FC – 6x European Champions.

A couple of videos of the Liverpool fans’ stunt are below.

Simon Mignolet links to Crystal Palace

Will Belgian goalkeeper Simon Mignolet remain at Liverpool in 2019-20?

Mignolet lost his place in the Liverpool XI last season, after Alisson joined from Roma.

31-year-old Mignolet only made two appearances for the Reds in 2018-19.

As confirmed by the Evening Standard, Crystal Palace have shown an interest in signing Mignolet from Anfield.

But will the deal transpire? Readers are today told the following:

Jurgen Klopp views Mignolet as more than just a competent back-up to Alisson – he is a key element of the dressing-room chemistry that proved vital to last season’s European success.

The Evening Standard report that an 8 million pound offer from Crystal Palace for Mignolet isn’t enough to convince the Reds to sell.

Some Crystal Palace fans may also wonder why Mignolet is a supposed target.

Vicente Guaita joined the Eagles last season, and the Spanish keeper made a positive impression in his first season in the Premier League.
