Liverpool fans have lots of love for unsung hero v Man City

Liverpool fans were all about Mo Salah during their first half against Manchester City in the quarter-finals, but they had plenty of love for another player as well.

Forward Roberto Firmino is no slouch when it comes to goals, and he’s been impressive time and time again for the Reds – and against Man City at Anfield it was no different, with people claiming he was doing the work of three players – or more.

Liverpool were in cruise control in the first half, and looked like they would easily get a decent lead to take back to the Eithad – yet in cup football anything can happen, especially against a domestic rival and both sides will be aware it can all change with an away goal – which is why Liverpool fans wanted Firmino to complete the scoring for the front three players and join Mane and Salah on the scoresheet – and he might yet.
