Liverpool fans slam anti-Reds bias over Fabinho/Hazard incident

Supporters of Liverpool have moved to defend Fabinho, amid outlandish claims that the Brazilian attempted to blow his nose onto Eden Hazard during the Reds’ victory over Chelsea.

Mane & Salah on target

Jurgen Klopp’s men welcomed Chelsea to Anfield yesterday evening, in a crucial clash in the race for both the Premier League title, and a spot in next season’s Champions League.

Manchester City’s victory over Crystal Palace earlier in the day had seen the Citizens leapfrog Liverpool into top-spot in the English top-flight table once again.

When all was said and done on Merseyside, though, Liverpool reclaimed their status as table-toppers, courtesy of a 2-0 win.

Sadio Mane opened the game’s scoring shortly after the interval, before Mohamed Salah rounded out the scoring 2 minutes later with a stunning strike from 25 yards.

Fabinho vs Hazard

In the aftermath of yesterday’s crunch matchup at Anfield, footage surrounding an ‘incident’ between Fabinho and Eden Hazard quickly began to turn heads across social media.

The footage showcased Hazard being tended to by a Chelsea physio, with Fabinho, who was stood behind the Belgian, having stepped forward to clear his nose.

However, the poor quality and lack of depth in the clip made it look as though the Liverpool midfielder had aimed at Hazard, a point which was quickly highlighted by some fans.

The fact that the grounded Chelsea star, Blues’ physio or referee failed to react in any way, though, suggested otherwise.

And this point, among multiple others, have since seen a number of Liverpool fans leap to the defence of Fabinho, hitting out at anti-Liverpool bias among fans and the media alike:
