Liverpool winger Sadio Mane returned to full training with Liverpool at Melwood this afternoon.
The Senegalese star is set to be available for selection against his former club Southampton.
Mane is believed to have aggravated a hamstring issue whilst on international duty, however, he has since fully recovered.
Sadio Mane has handed Liverpool a major boost ahead of Saturday’s clash with Southampton after returning to full training today.
Mane had been struggling with a hamstring issue, which he had aggravated whilst away on international duty with Senegal.
The player returned to Liverpool’s Melwood training ground on Tuesday undergoing a two-day rehab programme.
The winger looked in some discomfort after 2-0 win over South Africa last Friday, but he appears to have come away without the need to miss a game.
For the first time, the German has Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho to potentially start in the Premier League.
Facing former club
Liverpool host Southampton on Saturday lunchtime, with the fixture pitting Mnae up against his former side.
The 25-year-old has been hugely impressive at Anfield following his move from Saints back in 2016.
The Reds will be seeking a win in order place themselves in a commendation position to pounce should one of Manchester United, Spurs or Chelsea falter.
Meanwhile, Southampton hope to turn around their misfortunes this season, as they currently sit outside the Premier League’s top half.
Duo also return
England duo Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana also returned to full training this week.
Henderson was forced to withdraw from the England squad due to a thigh complaint.
The Reds’ captain missed their last outing at the London stadium in which they Hammered West Ham 4-1.
Lallana is set to return to action having spent three-and-a-half months on the sideline.
The 29-year-old is yet to feature this season and will hand Jurgen Klopp yet another boost.
