Liverpool blow: ‘Four to six weeks’ touted as best-case scenario for Jordan Henderson layoff

An update on the length of time Jordan Henderson is facing on the sidelines has emerged on Wednesday.

Liverpool’s backline decimated

Liverpool have, of course, endured an absolute nightmare campaign thus far when it comes to injuries.

The Reds’ main senior central defenders – Vigil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip – are all out with long-term problems.

Such woes have led to Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and even inexperienced youngsters being forced to fill in at centre-half for Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool, in turn, were left with no choice but to dip into the market to bring in two new centre-backs during the winter window.

As per The Athletic, some at Liverpool seem resigned to Henderson facing an extended spell on the sidelines.

And though assessments are still being carried out, with the situation set to become clearer in the coming days, it is suggested that four to six weeks out is viewed as the ‘best-case scenario’ for the midfielder, amid fears of an even longer layoff:
