Lisandro Martinez bags 2nd-straight Man United award

The Manchester United faithful have made their appreciation for the efforts of summer signing Lisandro Martinez clear once more on Saturday evening.

Erik ten Hag’s troops, of course, were back in action a short time ago.

Hopeful of building on a bounce-back downing of arch rivals Liverpool last time out, the Red Devils made the trip to England’s south coast, for a meeting with Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton.

And, when all was said and done, make it a pair of wins on the spin is precisely what United managed.

A hard-fought 90 minutes was ultimately decided by a solitary goal, courtesy of Bruno Fernandes ten minutes into the 2nd-half of play.
